On April 1, 2022, our company changed its name from Sumitomo Dainippon Pharma Co., Ltd. to Sumitomo Pharma Co., Ltd. This movie describes the challenging stance we take, and explains the background to and the purpose of this change.

Sumitomo Pharma’s roots
This movie is an introduction to the roots of Sumitomo Pharma, which was founded in the pharmaceutical district of Doshomachi, Osaka in May 1897, and ever since then has continued to develop for more than 100 years.
In this movie, we share our founders’ spirit, the history of Sumitomo, and the challenges we have taken on to date, together with sceneries of Doshomachi and other historic records.
