"DS Pharma Animal Health Co., Ltd." formed

Dainippon Sumitomo Pharma Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Osaka, Japan; President: Masayo Tada; hereinafter called "DSP") announced that is has newly formed "DS Pharma Animal Health Co., Ltd.", a DSP's wholly owned subsidiary, as of July 1, 2010 by transferring thereto the business of DSP's Animal Health Products Division.

DS Pharma Animal Health Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Osaka, Japan; President: Satoshi Ijuin) announced that is has started its business effective from July 1, 2010.

As a result of this new formation, more latitude of business administration will be given to the new company, and its decision-making process will be simplified for higher efficiency. The collaboration of the new company with DSP's R&D division will be continued unchanged or made even closer in the filed of animal drug. The new company is intended to become a leading company specializing in animal health products centering on veterinary medicines, based on a business management structure with a focus on speed and profit.
