Sumitomo Pharma Announces Establishment of Trading Company in China

Sumitomo Pharma Co., Ltd. (Head Office: Osaka, Japan; Representative Director, President and CEO: Hiroshi Nomura) announced today that Sumitomo Pharma Trading (Suzhou) Co., Ltd. was established in China on April 22, 2024 as a wholly-owned subsidiary of Sumitomo Pharma (China) Co., Ltd. which is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Sumitomo Pharma Co., Ltd.

Sumitomo Pharma Group has established Sumitomo Pharma Trading (Suzhou) Co., Ltd. as a wholly-owned subsidiary of Sumitomo Pharma (China) Co., Ltd., with the purpose of building a high-quality logistics system in China. Going forward, Sumitomo Pharma Trading (Suzhou) Co., Ltd. will possess the capabilities of importing and selling finished pharmaceutical products, as well as providing warehousing, storage and logistics services.

Sumitomo Pharma Group has local subsidiaries in Chinese mainland, Taiwan, Singapore, Thailand, and Malaysia, and a representative office in Vietnam, thus showing its commitment to Asia, a growing market for pharmaceuticals. With the establishment of this new subsidiary, Sumitomo Pharma Group aims to further strengthen its business foundation in Asia.
