【Sumitomo Pharma Wins the Award of Excellence in the 13th METI Career Education Award】

Sumitomo Pharma’s education program “Technology and Human Happiness: Your Choice – Look into the future” won the Award of Excellence in the 13th Career Education Award (large enterprise category) organized by the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI). This moral education program is carried out as a part of the Company’s social contribution activities in the form of visiting lectures. Sumitomo Pharma received the certificate of commendation on January 25, 2024, at the award ceremony held during the FY2023 Symposium for Partnerships for Career Education Promotion, an event co-hosted by METI, the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology, and the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare.
This active learning-based program for high school students focuses on “questions with no definite answers” concerning life and ethics, incorporating works designed to promote understanding of self and others. It aims to nurture compassion within society toward people from diverse backgrounds, so that it may contribute to the realization of the vision the Company pursues: “the betterment of healthcare and fuller lives of people worldwide.”
Sumitomo Pharma will further work toward creation of a sustainable society by stimulating interest in science among children, the bearers of the future, and by supporting their career formation.
